About AI Stack Recommender
Pick a scenario (personal knowledge base, AI coding, content creation, academic research, video and six more) and get a role-by-role tool stack: every card explains which slot the tool fills and why, with the tool name linking to our in-house review. Preference filters (free tier / Chinese / open source) dim non-matching tools with the reason instead of silently dropping them — the stacks are hand-curated, not algorithm-assembled from tags. Copy any stack as Markdown in one click.
FAQ
- How are the stacks chosen? Are they paid placements?
- Hand-curated: each slot is picked for how well it works in the scenario and how it composes with its neighbours, with the reasoning printed on the card — visible logic you can argue with. It is NOT tag-matching automation; tags can't capture "these two knowledge-base tools are complementary, not rivals". No slot is for sale; where a tool has an affiliate relationship the outbound link says so, but curation itself is unaffected.
- Why do filter-missed tools dim instead of disappearing?
- Because an empty slot is worse than a caveated one. Toggle "Chinese support needed" and the scenario's primary tool doesn't support Chinese — hiding it would suggest the scenario is impossible; dimming it with "limited Chinese" lets you weigh the trade-off (add a translation layer, or take the alternate). Catalog fields adjust the presentation; the curated stack stays whole.
- A stack is a dozen tools — who can afford all that?
- You don't subscribe to all of them. A stack is a MAP, not a shopping cart: run each slot on its free tier first (every card shows whether one exists), confirm the slot actually bottlenecks you, then pay for the one or two that matter. The standing advice: make it work, then subscribe, monthly, downgrade freely. Pricing on the cards comes from our catalog pages — click through for the full breakdown.
