我们把 pricing.model 限定成五个取值。
|---|---|---|---|
freemium | 247 | 193 | 15 |
unknown | 81 | 29 | 45 |
enterprise | 37 | 17 | 19 |
free | 10 | 0 | 0 |
usage | 1 | 1 | 0 |
pricing.detail.zh 是我们唯一抄原文的字段。
换算成可比的一句话,各自是:每用户/月 × 席位数;「起」的那档先问它含不含你要的功能;
按量类拿你真实月用量乘一遍(站内 /free-tools/llm-api-cost-calculator 就是干这个的,它只吃你给的数字);
- 最低合同期与最低席位数(这两个决定你实际付的年额,页面通常只写单价);
- 超出包含量之后的单价(免费额度与超额价常来自两份文档);
- 管理/安全席位是否单独计费(有的按团队收,有的按人收);

Enterprise does not mean expensive, unknown does not mean no price: how to read a directory's pricing fields
All 376 records as the sample: what our five pricing-model values actually contain, why 29 of the 81 'unknown' entries do state a price, and how to normalize four formats that look comparable but are not.
Rules used for the 376 published records on 2026-09-18: group by `pricing.model`; 'states a digit' means 0-9 appears in `pricing.detail.zh`; 'contact-sales wording' means that same string contains 联系 / 报价 / 待定 / 等待名单 / 定制 / contact; 'per user' means it contains 用户/, 'from price' means 起, 'usage-based' means 按量 / 按秒 / 按 token / usage, 'bundled' means 包含在. The three length figures are the median, maximum and mean character count of that same field. Reproduce it by importing `{ tools } from "@/lib/tools"` in `npx tsx` and applying these rules — do not glob `src/data/tools/**/*.json`, which holds 387 files while the published count is 376.
The short version first: a pricing label is the author's classification, not the vendor's
Every pricing tag in a directory is what somebody decided after reading the vendor's page. Done well it saves you three minutes; done badly it gives you an hour of confident illusion. This article dissects our own fields, because all 376 records live in the repository and every claim here can be re-checked line by line.
1. The real distribution of our five values (and what they do not mean)
pricing.model is restricted to five values. Measured on 2026-09-18:
| Value | Records | Of those, state a digit | Of those, say 'contact us / quote / TBD / waitlist / custom' |
|---|---|---|---|
freemium | 247 | 193 | 15 |
unknown | 81 | 29 | 45 |
enterprise | 37 | 17 | 19 |
free | 10 | 0 | 0 |
usage | 1 | 1 | 0 |
Three things in that table contradict the usual reading:
unknowndoes not mean 'the vendor publishes no price'. 29 of the 81 do carry digits —github-copilotis '$10/mo / $19/user/mo',midjourneyis '$10-$80/mo'. They landed inunknownbecause no single tier can be circled: ranges, add-on prices and per-seat ladders do not fit freemium, enterprise or usage.freemiumdoes not mean 'cheap'. It is the biggest bucket at 247, and it holds both 'Free / Pro $9/mo' and 'Free / Business from $99/mo'. The tag answers 'is there a free entrance', never 'at what magnitude'.- The
freebucket is the emptiest and the one to distrust. All ten contain no digit — a record that says 'free' without a quota has said nothing.
2. The only readable thing is the copied line, and it is short
pricing.detail.zh is the single field where we copy the vendor's wording. Counting it on the same day: median
length 16 characters, longest 96, average 18. We keep it verbatim — 'Free / Plus $20/mo / Pro $200/mo',
'$10/user/mo (Notion add-on)', 'billed per second / optional Pro plan'. No beautifying, no converting: the moment
we convert, we have inserted an assumption about your volume.
3. Four formats that look comparable and are not
| Format | Records | Why it needs normalizing |
|---|---|---|
| per user / month | 67 | That is a unit price, not your bill; 1 seat and 30 seats differ 30-fold |
| 'from $X' | 24 | 'from' means the tier you saw may not be sellable; team and compliance features sit higher |
| usage / per second / per token | 15 | There is no monthly concept; you must multiply your own volume, and per-second vs per-minute differs 60-fold |
| 'included in …' | 3 | The price lives inside another subscription; the cost only appears when you cancel that one |
Normalize each into one comparable sentence: multiply per-seat price × seats; for 'from' prices first ask
whether the advertised tier includes what you need; for usage-based products multiply your real monthly volume
(that is exactly what /free-tools/llm-api-cost-calculator does — it only accepts numbers you provide); for
bundled products charge the cost to the host subscription instead of pricing it standalone.
4. What to ask when 45 records say 'contact sales'
45 of the 81 unknown records read 'contact us / enterprise pricing TBD / waitlist', as do 19 of the 37
enterprise ones. Those are not 'unfindable', they are 'not decided by a page'. To get comparable numbers, ask four
questions:
- Minimum contract term and minimum seats — these decide what you actually pay per year; pages usually show only the unit rate.
- The unit price after the included volume — the quota and the overage rate often come from two different documents.
- Whether admin and security seats are billed separately — some charge per team, some per person.
- Whether data retention, private deployment and audit logs cost extra — that is where enterprise tiers really diverge.
Write the answers into one table. Do not read 'quote only' as 'expensive', and do not treat a first-year discount as a standing price.
5. What these fields cannot do (stated plainly)
- The labels are ours and can be wrong. Another reader may reclassify a record from
unknowntousage. That is why we print the copied line beside the label: you can overrule us. - We do not quote, do not negotiate on your behalf, and do not accept vendor-supplied 'exclusive discounts'; where a link is an affiliate link, the page says so.
- Numbers expire: each record carries its own
lastVerifiedAt, and the vendor's pricing page governs on the day you buy.
One-sentence summary
Read the copied line first, the label second. The label answers 'which bucket', only the line answers 'what you pay'. Anyone who treats the bucket as the conclusion is budgeting with somebody else's filing system.
FAQ
- Why not rename 'unknown' to something clearer like 'quote only'?
- Because the two phrases do not cover the same set: of the 81 `unknown` records, 45 are quote-only, but 29 do state a price — they simply cannot be pinned to one tier. Renaming would mislabel the second group, trading one wrong tag for another. So the tag stays as it is, the vendor's line is printed right beside it in full, and anyone who thinks we filed it wrong can judge from the wording.
- Why not convert '$200/mo' into your local currency inside the table?
- Because a conversion stacks three assumptions: which day's exchange rate, whether tax is included, and annual versus monthly billing. None of those should be chosen for you by us. The table keeps the vendor's original string, and conversion is left to tools like `/free-tools/llm-api-cost-calculator`, which only accept numbers you provide and never guess your volume. That is our rule for every derived value: where a method is enough we show the method, where assumptions are needed we write nothing.
- The sales quote differs from the public page — which one do you record?
- We record the page. The reason is that a published price is checkable, while a sales quote is valid for that conversation, that term and that seat count — letting it stand in the table would mean endorsing the discount's conditions too. So the line on a detail page always comes from the vendor's public page plus the day we checked it. If you got a better number, write it into your own table via `/free-tools/subscription-tracker`; that is where your real cost belongs.
